The Financial Services Innovation Coalition (FSIC) has issued the following statement about the passing of U.S. Representative John Lewis.

Rep. Lewis dedicated his life to the advancement of both civil and human rights. He was a man of compassion, justice and courage. He was committed to fighting for a better America. He believed in the great and just society of our nation. He fought to make sure we never allowed the failure of hate to stop us from moving forward in our country. He will always serve as an inspiration for us all.

His passion to make this world a better place than he left it is an inspiration to all of us. We at FSIC join all Americans in both mourning his passing and celebrating life.
