In this episode, Brady J. Buckner (President, FSIC) and Mr. Kristian Soltes (Senior Associate, Constantine Cannon LLP) discuss why antitrust actions are good for all of us and why monopolies are so bad, especially for disadvantaged families. Mr. Soltes is an antitrust and whistleblower attorney and an expert in both subjects. FSIC posted recently about how The Work Number (mortgage lending employment verification service) can increase fees at will and how it could impact consumers negatively. FSIC has also posted recently about consumer swipe fees and how those costs could be passed on to bank customers. This is important to us at FSIC because the underserved communities we support bear an unfair portion of these cost increases. This episode was produced in conjunction with the FSIC Housing Task Force.
